In a distant past, Princess Kanna, the last of a winged race, was imprisoned in a castle due to her feared existence. Her encounter with a soldier named Ryuuya sparked a romance, and she confided in him about her longing to see the world and reunite with her mother. Ryuuya attempted to fulfill her desires, but his efforts proved futile as Kanna was sealed in the sky through magic, condemned to suffer eternally. Centuries later, Yukito, a descendant of Ryuuya, arrives in a quaint town on the eve of their annual festival, seeking financial gain. His life becomes entwined with Misuzu, an unusual girl, who bears a striking resemblance to his mother's long-forgotten words: "If you find the winged girl's reincarnation on your journey, use your power to set her free."
