Shinzo

A genetically engineered race, created to combat a deadly virus, ultimately turns against humanity and brings about its near-total extinction. In the final days, one scientist places his young daughter into cryogenic sleep, hoping she will one day awaken to a world where survivors remain, and that she might serve as a bridge to peace between humans and their creations—the Enterrans. That girl, Yakumo, was granted mysterious powers when a meteorite struck—the very same impact that preceded the Enterrans' turn toward evil. When she awakens five hundred years later, she sets out on a journey and encounters three Enterrans who choose to join her. Together, they gradually uncover the long-buried secrets of the past and the true fate of her home world.
