Following Gravion’s deployment of its ultimate attack, the Zeravire menace appeared to be quelled, at least for a time. Yet when the enemy suddenly resurfaces with renewed ferocity, the Earth Gult is forced to once again rely on its ultimate asset—the colossal super robot Gravion—to protect the planet. In parallel, the EFA has been forging ahead with its own countermeasure project, developing the Grand Trooper as an independent weapon against the Zeravire. As both organizations join the fight to repel the invaders, their members find themselves caught between securing humanity's future and reconciling with the ghosts of their own histories, all while striving to uncover the truth behind the enigmatic Zeravire.
