Heisuke, a high school student, is tasked with looking after his younger cousin Aki for the day. As an only child used to spending time alone at home, Aki is naturally quiet and reserved, going out of his way to avoid being a burden on those around him. Over the course of their time together, however, Aki finds himself growing increasingly attached to Heisuke—particularly drawn to his cousin's hobby of making sweets and desserts. Little by little, the withdrawn Aki begins to open up, and in turn, Heisuke helps him learn that it is all right to be selfish once in a while and to speak up about what he truly wants.
