Hen

Suzuki Ichirou, a heterosexual young man, finds himself infatuated with Satou Yuuki. Convinced that the androgynous Satou is actually a girl trapped in a boy’s body, Ichirou pursues him under this mistaken belief. The narrative features a unique meta-fictional element, as the author, Hiroya Oku, appears as a character within the story, serving as Satou’s best friend. Additionally, the first three volumes of this series compile Oku’s early short stories, which include prototype versions of the Hen series.
