Young Shima Kōsaku

Young Shima Kōsaku serves as both the first published prequel and the third chronological installment in the saga of Shima Kōsaku, a dedicated salaryman at Hatsushiba Electric. The story begins with Kōsaku assigned to a branch office, where he finds himself burdened with an unexpected volume of menial tasks. However, a fortuitous encounter with the company president grants his deepest wish: a transfer to the central headquarters. Life at the main office proves far from ideal, as Kōsaku becomes entangled in the complex professional and romantic dramas of his colleagues. Despite these challenges, he maintains his unwavering faith in the company and his characteristic, unshakable optimism.
