Soreyuke! Uchuu Senkan Yamamoto Youko

Set in the year 2999, humanity has fractured into two opposing factions, Terra and Ness, engaged in an interstellar starship conflict. Among the most skilled pilots is the confident teenager Yohko Yamamoto. During a critical mission, Yohko and her crew are drawn into a temporal anomaly that hurls them backward into the modern era. Suffering from amnesia, Yohko lives under the belief that she is merely an ordinary high school student. However, a sequence of events eventually returns her to her vessel, the TA-29. Reunited with her starship, she takes to the skies alongside her newfound companions, battling in a conflict that bears an uncanny resemblance to an arcade video game—down to the requirement of a 100-yen coin to start the engine.
