Summary

Official Details

In a cemetery in modern-day Israel, an elderly Japanese man and former news correspondent pays his respects by placing flowers at the grave of Adolf Kamil. His visit is rooted in memories of three men who shared the same name: Kamil, the Jewish son of a baker raised in Kobe; Kaufmann, the only child of a German consul and his Japanese wife living in that same port city; and the Führer, with whom Japan formed a wartime alliance.
