Reverse Scale Wedge: Boston Dragonblood

In a dark night in Boston, the Lin family is slaughtered by the Order of the New Sanctuary. Before his death, Lin Dao, a former disciple of the Zhāo Shān Tiān Gāng Sect, presses a half-block "Reverse Scale Wedge" into his chest. This is not a vampire's bone, but a fragment of the ancient bones of the Chaos Dragon, sealed away by the gods of the East and West. Lin Dao's mother, a pure-blooded vampire from the Boston Van Helsing family, dies at the hands of the dragon's blood. Lin Dùn, a half-breed of Chinese and American descent, has a mix of Zhāo Shān Qi and Van Helsing blood, and a dragon within him that is about to awaken. The "Blood Devouring Technique" is renamed "Dragon Transformation", and the nine-character incantation is recited in Latin, allowing him to extract the fangs of a vampire. The New Sanctuary sees him as an abomination and wants to strip his bones bare. The silver-haired Council Chairman sees him as a key to unlocking the gates of the divine realm. Lin Dùn's sister, Lin Yáo, has been brainwashed into becoming a saint, her silver eyes reflecting his blood. Lin Dùn sits in the alley behind the Red Nail Bar, devouring a werewolf champion's heart, pressing the bone shards against his chest: "You call this a shackle. I call it – dinner." He battles his way from the underground boxing rings of Chinatown, to the forbidden grounds of the Ashes Cemetery, from the Eight Trigrams Furnace of the Xuanmiao Sect, to the Dragon's Tomb in the Atlantic Ocean, and finally to the Kunlun Ancestral Lake. He swallows, dissects, and awakens the ancient gods of the East and West. This is the story of half-blood Lin Dùn, who uses the Reverse Scale Wedge to chew through the New Sanctuary, shatter the shackles of the divine, and forge his own bones from dragon's blood and vampire essence.
