At Lillian Girls' Academy, a prestigious all-girls Catholic school, a unique system exists where pairs of students become soeurs, or "sisters", to provide support and guidance to one another during their time at school. Yumi Fukuzawa, a shy and unassuming student, is initially hesitant to believe she is worthy of a soeur as popular and beautiful as Sachiko Ogasawara. However, Sachiko inexplicably chooses Yumi as her soeur, leaving Yumi to wonder what Sachiko's motivations are and what this arrangement will entail. As their relationship develops, Yumi must navigate her own insecurities and learn to trust Sachiko, who proves to be a complex and multifaceted individual.
