Texhnolyze

In the dark, underground city of Lux, a fragile balance of power is maintained among various criminal factions, each vying for control. The city's inhabitants live in fear and despair, with their interactions with the outside world limited to the mining operation of a rare substance called "raffia." This substance is the basis for "texhnolyze" transplants, which allow humans to replace body parts with cybernetic prostheses, triggering no immune response in their hosts. A mysterious visitor, Kazuho Yoshii, disrupts this balance by committing a series of crimes that sets the gangs at each other's throats. Amidst the chaos, new characters emerge: Ichise, a former boxer mutilated by the powerful Organo and recently texhnolyzed; and Ran, a young florist with the ability to see the future. As Lux teeters on the brink of insanity, Ichise and Ran become embroiled in the city's greatest crisis.
