Must She Die?

A bizarre tunnel and a CD of unknown origin thrust thirty-four-year-old Zhou Ming face-to-face with his eighteen-year-old self. The teenage Zhou Ming wastes no time—he demands tomorrow's lottery numbers. The older Zhou Ming scoffs: with a net worth over a billion, why would he bother with lottery tickets? Undeterred, the younger self pivots: "Then give me Jay Chou's album for next year—I'll become the emperor of music!" Zhou Ming replies dryly: with his billions, why would he become an entertainer? Frustrated, the teenager retorts, "If you have everything, why even bother traveling back?" Zhou Ming falls silent. Then he speaks: he has billions, yes—but his first love died when he was eighteen, and his left leg underwent mechanical ascension that same year. The younger Zhou Ming's face pales. "That means… this year?" The older man checks the calendar: it's December. Only days remain. Now, the unquenchable fire of eighteen collides with the hardened obsession of thirty-four. Together, they set out to mend the fractures of time—and rewrite a history that once broke them both.
