Akanabe-sensei wa Tereshirazu

Koki Sakieda works as an assistant to Akira Akanebe, a manga artist he deeply admires. To his astonishment, his mentor makes a point of praising him at every opportunity, always finding some new compliment to offer—and delivering it without a trace of embarrassment. Sakieda cannot shake the worry that if this situation continues, he may inevitably find himself falling in love with her. Just as that fear begins to take root, Akanebe catches him completely off guard with a surprising proposal: she asks him to go out with her. What unfolds is a charming slice-of-life story centered on the pair's everyday interactions. Akanebe-sensei lavishes her assistant with praise, utterly unashamed, while Sakieda, though flustered, does his best to accept every affectionate word with composure and grace.
