Moto Yuusha wa Shizuka ni Kurashitai

The hero Noel Viga's triumph over the Demon Lord should have been the dawn of a new era—a time of celebration, gratitude, and peace. Instead, it marked the beginning of his greatest betrayal. Cast aside by the very companions who fought beside him and forsaken by the kingdom he sacrificed everything to save, Noel finds himself stripped of glory and branded a pariah. The cheers of the masses have faded into whispers of scorn, and the lofty ideals he once championed now ring hollow in the face of such profound ingratitude. The world he protected has shown its true, ugly colors, and it has broken the spirit of its greatest champion. Utterly disillusioned with the politics and fickleness of humanity, Noel makes a quiet yet resolute decision. He abandons his title, his former life, and the weight of the world's expectations, choosing instead to vanish into obscurity. His new goal is simply to live a peaceful, quiet existence, far from the chaos of adventure and the sting of betrayal. However, the specter of the past is not so easily escaped. As he attempts to carve out a mundane life for himself, the consequences of his former heroism—and the enemies it created—have a way of catching up to the most reluctant of saviors. Noel must now confront whether a quiet life is truly attainable, or if a hero's legacy will forever be a burden he cannot lay down.
