Kimi ga Iu ni wa Inu no Koi

For Akira Tamanoi, life is a series of colorless days. An ordinary high school student with no particular dreams or ambitions, his only solace lies in a quiet, shameful fantasy: to be useful, to be told what to do, and to be praised for it. He considers this desire a sinful indulgence, a private dream he dare not voice aloud. Yet, as he drifts through his monotonous routine, it seems his greatest wish is destined to remain exactly that—a dream. That all changes when a tardy arrival lands him with a punishment: assisting the student council. There, he crosses paths with the student council president, Makoto Miyauchi—a figure of brilliant intellect and striking beauty who seems to exist in a different world entirely. To Akira's utter bewilderment, Makoto begins seeking him out for help, offering him small tasks and, in return, a dizzying amount of praise. "Please... thank you!" and "You can't do it...? Either way, you did a good job." Overwhelmed by this unexpected kindness and the pleasant, confusing warmth it stirs within him, Akira finds his ordinary world turning upside down. Just as he begins to lose himself in this sudden dreamlike reality, Makoto shatters the illusion with a chillingly intimate declaration, revealing that this carefully crafted heaven might be a gilded cage: "...There you are. My wonderful owner."
