Nakasetagari no Hasugaya-kun

For high schooler Yanai, the world has long been a muted spectrum, his every interaction filtered through the thick glass of a trauma he cannot voice. A past incident robbed him of the ability to express even the most basic emotions, leaving him to navigate his days with a hollow smile and a chest full of unspent grief. Yearning to break free from this self-imposed prison, he obsessively hunts for a key to his own heart—until a stray rumor points him toward an unexpected solution: his aloof classmate, Hasugaya, whose family chiropractic practice is rumored to specialize in something far beyond physical alignment. They claim to relieve emotional stiffness, to coax out the tears that psychological knots have bound tight. Armed with desperate hope, Yanai corners Hasugaya and begs for a session. Hasugaya, however, is visibly discomforted by the request, brushing it off as a nuisance and trying to wave Yanai away. But Yanai's stubborn vulnerability proves impossible to ignore, and reluctantly, Hasugaya agrees to administer the treatment. As the session begins, something shifts in the air. Under Hasugaya's precise manipulations, the walls Yanai has so carefully constructed begin to crumble, and for the first time in years, a raw sob tears from his throat—real, cathartic tears that wash away the numbness.
