Yokai Buster Murakami

Centuries-old seals have shattered, unleashing a tide of terrifying yokai into the neon-lit streets of the modern world. These vengeful spirits, long relegated to folklore, now stalk the living with renewed ferocity, threatening to plunge everyday society into chaos. Standing as the last bastion against this supernatural onslaught is Kuin, a formidable exorcist whose duty is to eradicate these phantoms and restore balance. Yet even as Kuin wages a desperate war against the encroaching darkness, the conflict takes an unexpected turn when an ordinary high school student named Murakami stumbles headlong into the fray. Thrust into a lethal game of Yokai versus Exorcist without any training or innate power, Murakami must navigate a world where ancient malice collides with contemporary life. His presence upends the established order, turning a straightforward supernatural war into a chaotic, unpredictable spectacle. Award-winning comedic creator Daiki Ihara weaves this high-stakes premise with sharp humor, delivering a battle comedy where the absurdity of the past meets the anxieties of the present. With the fate of reality hanging in the balance, one thing is certain: the future is now, and it is crawling with yokai.
