Medusa-san Mitsumenaide

This self-contained one-shot reimagines Greek myth through an unforgettable heroine: an adorable young girl crowned not with hair, but with a head of living serpents. Like the legendary Medusa she evokes, every coil and curl of her snaking locks is alive, writhing and stirring with her emotions, giving her a presence that is equal parts mesmerizing and unnerving. The title itself—a plea not to stare—reveals her central predicament. Meeting her gaze, or lingering on her too long, carries a hint of danger, echoing the petrifying power of the myth she embodies. The very quality that makes her extraordinary also sets her apart, forcing distance between her and the ordinary world even as she remains, at heart, a sweet and gentle girl who never asked to carry a monster's legacy. Blending supernatural intrigue with endearing charm, the story distills its premise into a single, complete tale: a portrait of a girl caught between the frightening legend written into her serpentine hair and the innocence behind it, where the simple hope of being seen without fear gives the one-shot its quiet emotional core.
