Luminous = Blue

Kou Tarumizu has always viewed the world through the lens of admiration, her heart set on following in the footsteps of Uchiho Hayama, a two-time photography contest champion whose work once illuminated her own aspirations. Driven by that unwavering devotion, Kou transfers to Uchiho's high school, expecting to finally stand beside her idol and breathe in the creative atmosphere of the renowned photography club. Instead, she walks into a ghost of a clubroom—the society has been completely disbanded, and the Uchiho she idolized is a shadow of her former self, paralyzed by an artistic slump that has stolen her once-bright vision. Refusing to let her hero fade into obscurity, Kou devises a bold plan: she will enter a prestigious photography contest herself, hoping that her own success might rekindle the club's dormant spirit and jolt Uchiho back to life. To bring her entry to fruition, she enlists two of her classmates—the quiet and striking Nene, and the gentle Amane—as her subjects, believing their natural chemistry will translate perfectly onto film. Yet as Kou frames her shots and prepares her portfolio, an unexpected twist emerges from the past: Nene and Amane were once a couple, their history etched with emotions far more complicated than simple friendship. Now, with her lens trained on a fractured relationship and her idol's legacy hanging in the balance, Kou must navigate the delicate art of capturing truth on camera—and discover whether a picture can ever truly heal what has been broken.
