Elfen Lied: Just How Did the Young Girl Arrive at Those Feelings?

This episode takes place within a larger narrative, as Nana attempts to integrate into the household and find her place, all while adjusting to the presence of Nyu, whom she knows only as Lucy. After a scolding prompts Nana to run away, she encounters Bando at the beach and agrees to bring Lucy to meet him later that night. As Nana and Nyu leave the household together, a sudden rainstorm causes Nyu to slip, hit her head, and lose consciousness. With Bando waiting and the others worrying about their whereabouts, Nana takes shelter with the unconscious Nyu, during which Lucy's consciousness begins to resurface, bringing with it a dreamlike recollection of her past, including her capture and the reason behind her reluctance to attack Director Kurama. As the rain subsides, Kouta and the others locate Nana and Lucy, bringing them back home, where Nana finally discovers her designated chore: feeding the dog.
