Official Details

After being consoled by a prince following the death of her parents, Utena Tenjou was inspired to become a prince herself, symbolized by a ring with a rose crest. Years later, Utena attends Ohtori Academy, where she stands out by wearing a boy's uniform, embodying the prince she aspires to be. When a friend is insulted by a member of the Student Council, Utena engages in a duel to defend her friend's honor, utilizing the power of the rose crest to enter the dueling arena and emerging victorious. This win inadvertently makes her the fiancé of the Rose Bride, Anthy. As Utena grows fond of Anthy, she is drawn into a series of duels against other Student Council members vying for possession of the Rose Bride. Through these battles, Utena must protect Anthy and unravel the dark secrets underlying Ohtori Academy.
