Sunoharasou no Kanrinin-san

For as long as he can remember, Shiina Aki has been burdened by an appearance that betrays his true self. With delicate features and a naturally soft demeanor, he is perpetually mistaken for a girl—a frustrating misunderstanding that has followed him through every stage of his young life. Determined to shed this unwanted identity and forge a more masculine image, Aki makes the bold decision to leave his hometown behind and enroll in a middle school in bustling Tokyo. He hopes that a fresh start in the unfamiliar metropolis will provide the perfect crucible for his personal reinvention. Yet fate, it seems, has other plans. Upon arriving at his new residence—the quaint and slightly worn boarding house known as Sunohara-sou—Aki discovers that his sanctuary is already occupied. Welcoming him with open arms is the building's gentle and strikingly beautiful caretaker, Sunohara Ayaka, whose warm smile instantly puts him at ease. But she is not alone. Also in residence are three vivacious upperclassmen who just so happen to be members of his new school's student council: the spirited Yukimoto Yuzu, the composed Yamanashi Sumire, and the mischievous Kazami Yuri. Suddenly, Aki's quest for a rugged, solitary new life is upended as he finds himself the sole male resident in a household of four charming girls. Now, between navigating the trials of a new school and the daily chaos of his shared home, Aki must learn to survive a life far more complicated—and far more eventful—than he ever bargained for.
