Starting from Confession: A Japanese Entertainment Journey

Takato Hitomi begins his career as a child actor under Toho, landing his first role in the campus revenge film "Confession." Cast as a dark, love-deprived male lead, he captures the Tokyo Film Academy Best Newcomer Award. Step by step, he ascends to become Tokyo's Best Actor, then a Cannes winner, and ultimately an Oscar honoree. Along the way, he reshapes the Japanese entertainment industry and pulls its strings from within. Years later, a reporter asks: "Takato, you are now the number one figure in Japanese showbiz, but many people dislike you for your endless scandals. How do you feel?" Takato Hitomi replies: "I have no scandals—they are all fake. I am devoted. I do not fall for someone new at every turn. OK?"
