No Marriage is Perfect

In the wake of a bitter argument, an accidental fall becomes the catalyst for a desperate gamble. Faced with the imminent collapse of a marriage that has grown cold and distant, Yeonhwa seizes upon a precarious lifeline: a feigned loss of memory. Her hope is a simple, albeit shaky, one—that even her detached husband would hesitate to pursue a divorce with a wife suffering from a head injury. It's a fragile shield, granting her a temporary reprieve to navigate her crumbling life and perhaps find a way to salvage what remains of their bond. However, this manufactured blank slate brings forth a reality far more disorienting than she anticipated. The stoic and icy husband she knew is replaced by a man of unnerving warmth and meticulous care. He speaks of their life together with a familiarity that clashes violently with her own memories, insisting on a shared intimacy that she knows never existed—a marital bed, when she is certain they have never even shared a single kiss. In this house of mirrors, she struggles to reconcile the comfort he now offers with the coldness she endured, keeping him at an arm's length while her own resolve begins to waver. As her fabricated world intertwines with this new, unsettling reality, Yeonhwa is left grappling with the very foundation of her marriage. Is his changed demeanor a genuine reaction to her condition, a calculated act within a larger scheme, or the truth of a relationship she had somehow misremembered? With every gesture and whispered word, the line between her deception and his intentions blurs, forcing her to question not only who she can trust, but who is truly orchestrating this intricate, perilous game of love and deceit.
