Perfect Blue

Perfect Blue follows the story of Mima Kirigoe, a pop idol who abandons her career with the group CHAM! to pursue acting. However, her decision is met with discontent by one of her most devoted fans, Me-Mania. As Mima takes on a new role, despite her manager Rumi Hidaka's reservations, a series of strange events begins to unfold, affecting those involved in the film. As the story progresses, Mima's mental state starts to deteriorate, making it increasingly difficult for her to distinguish between reality and fantasy. With her stalker's grip tightening, Mima must find a way to escape the downward spiral of madness and deliver a breakout performance, or risk losing herself completely.
