Price of Violence

To the casual observer, kumdo is little more than a refined pastime—a sport of elegance and discipline practiced for the sake of entertainment. In this world, Si-ho Ye stands unchallenged. With reflexes sharper than his blade, a preternatural agility, and years of experience that dwarf his peers, he has earned his place as the undisputed star of the kumdo circuit, dazzling crowds with his effortless mastery. For Si-ho, this life was enough: a quiet existence built on being the very best at a game that, in the grand scheme of things, held no real weight. That fragile contentment shatters the day his sister dies. Consumed by grief and burning with the unshakable conviction that her death was no accident, Si-ho abandons the safe, sanitized arenas of competitive sparring. His mission is no longer about trophies or applause—it is about cold, hard vengeance. To uncover the truth and bring her killers to justice, he plunges headlong into the brutal underbelly of Korea, where the line between sport and survival blurs into bloodshed. There, he will remind a world that has forgotten the true purpose of the blade why the swordsmen of old were once regarded with both profound reverence and absolute terror.
