Wandance

Kotani Kaboku has spent his life quietly burying his true emotions, choosing instead to blend in by mirroring the feelings and expectations of those around him. His carefully maintained equilibrium is disrupted when he encounters Wanda Hikari, a girl who moves through the world entirely unbothered by the judgments of others. Completely consumed by her passion for dance, she expresses herself with a raw authenticity that Kaboku has never known. Captivated by her freedom and desperate to share in her world, he makes the bold decision to step onto the dance floor, despite having absolutely no prior experience. As Kaboku throws himself into this unfamiliar pursuit, he is forced to confront the heavy pressures of adolescence. Between school clubs, academic studies, career preparation, friendships, and the confusing stirrings of romance, he must determine what truly matters during these formative years. Society often dismisses dancing as an impractical endeavor, raising the question of where dedicating oneself to such a seemingly useless art might lead. Yet, Wandance firmly rejects that notion, celebrating the idea that spending one’s youth immersed in dance is not only acceptable but deeply fulfilling. Together, Kaboku and Hikari navigate the thrilling challenges of freestyle dancing while discovering the complexities of young love.
