Once every century, a Water Fairy implants an egg into a chosen human, who then becomes the Guardian of Fairies. This time, that responsibility falls upon Chagum, the second prince of the New Yogo Kingdom. His life is far from easy: the king regards him as an inconvenience and attempts to have him killed. To save him, the queen asks a female guard named Balsa to protect Chagum. Yet danger does not come only from within the palace. Creatures from another world, known as the Nayugu, constantly attack Chagum in order to eat the egg carried inside his body. As these otherworldly assaults continue and royal threats close in, Balsa must shield the young prince while he bears a fate he never chose.
