Nise Seiken Monogatari - Osananajimi no Seijo wo Uttara Michizure ni Sareta

Alistar’s childhood friend, Magary, has been chosen as the new saint. From this day forward, she will be confined to the royal capital, forced to maintain a constant smile while enduring grueling lessons in etiquette and dance. Knowing they have been inseparable since birth, Alistar feels a pang of loneliness at her fate, yet he makes a decisive choice. As knights arrive to escort her away, he shoves the bound and desperately struggling Magary toward them, ignoring her furious scream of his name. Though her voice drips with what sounds like deep resentment, Alistar convinces himself it is merely his imagination. As one final act of futile resistance, Magary demands that he accompany her to the royal capital to see her off. The journey concludes without incident, and Alistar cheerfully bids her farewell, wishing her luck before turning his back on her glaring eyes to begin the long walk home. However, his peaceful return is abruptly shattered when a pack of goblins begins chasing him through the wilderness. Forced to flee for his life, Alistar screams out for help, realizing far too late that abandoning his childhood friend might have been a terrible mistake.
