Living-Room Matsunaga-san

When high school student Miko “Meeko” Sonoda’s parents depart to tend to her ailing grandmother, she is left without a home. To ensure she is properly looked after, Meeko relocates to a boarding house managed by her uncle. Rather than finding a quiet place to study, she steps into a lively environment filled with eccentric residents who quickly become an unexpected part of her daily routine. Among these colorful housemates is Matsunaga-san, the oldest occupant of the boarding house. Despite his gruff and perpetually grumpy demeanor, he naturally assumes the role of a protective caretaker, watching over the younger residents like a reluctant mother hen. With the steady support of her new companions, Meeko gradually adapts to the challenges of living independently for the first time. However, adjusting to life away from her family brings unforeseen emotional complications. As Meeko settles into her new surroundings, she realizes that distance from her parents does not erase her youth or vulnerability. Her comfortable new routine takes an unexpected turn when she begins developing genuine romantic feelings for Matsunaga-san, forcing her to navigate the confusing line between dependence, admiration, and affection in her unconventional household.
