Ancient objects can harbor powerful entities known as tsukumogami. For a young man named Hyoma, these spirits are nothing more than malevolent forces that stole something deeply precious from him. Driven by grief and fury, he dedicates himself to a singular purpose: wielding his own supernatural abilities to banish every tsukumogami back to their realm of origin, regardless of the personal cost. However, his relentless crusade is disrupted when his grandfather arranges for him to live with Botan, a gentle and compassionate girl who shares her home with a diverse group of these very spirits. Unlike the monsters Hyoma envisions, Botan’s companions are fiercely protective yet entirely peaceful, creating a domestic harmony that challenges everything he believes. For someone consumed by hatred, this living arrangement feels utterly unbearable. Now caught between his ingrained hostility and Botan’s unwavering kindness, Hyoma faces a profound internal struggle.
