Sumire♡16-sai!! follows the everyday life of Sumire, a bright and energetic sixteen-year-old girl navigating her daily routine. On the surface, she appears to be an ordinary teenager full of vitality, but beneath this cheerful exterior lies a truly extraordinary secret. Sumire is not a typical high school student; she is, in fact, a life-sized marionette. Her every movement and action is meticulously controlled by a mysterious elderly man dressed entirely in black who operates her from the shadows. The most peculiar aspect of this arrangement is Sumire’s complete lack of awareness regarding her own nature. She goes about her days genuinely believing herself to be a normal human girl, blissfully ignorant of the strings that guide her.
