Shirokuma Tensei: Mori no Shugoshin ni Natta zo Densetsu

Kumakichi Kumada was a passionate and dedicated mountain climber until a fatal plunge into a deep ravine abruptly ended his human life. However, death was not the end of his journey. He awakens in the heart of a vast, unfamiliar forest in another world, only to discover that he has been reincarnated as a massive polar bear. Despite his imposing new form as an Ursus maritimus, Kumakichi retains his sharp intellect and all the memories from his previous existence. His strange new reality quickly takes on purpose when he encounters six werewolf sisters who are desperately fleeing for their lives. Their clan is being mercilessly persecuted by tyrannical humans, leaving the young girls with nowhere else to turn. Stepping up as their unlikely protector, Kumakichi uses his survival instincts and past-life knowledge to shield them from danger in this untamed wilderness. For a man who spent his former life conquering towering peaks, protecting these vulnerable refugees presents an entirely different kind of challenge. Yet, Kumakichi embraces his role as the guardian of the forest. His greatest summit to conquer is no longer a physical mountain, but rather the daunting task of carving out a safe, comfortable, and peaceful life in the woods for himself and the six sisters he has sworn to defend.
