Onnanokogare!

The protagonist of Onnanokogare! is a high school girl whose passions lie entirely outside the realm of traditional femininity. Far more interested in playing baseball and enjoying delicious meals than keeping up with fashion trends, she has spent her entire life largely disconnected from anything typically associated with being a girl. Her appearance has always been handled by the same neighborhood hairdresser—an elderly woman who had been cutting her hair since childhood—allowing her to comfortably avoid any need to think about her own style or presentation. Everything changes when that familiar, long-standing barbershop suddenly closes its doors for good. Left without her usual stylist, the tomboyish teenager makes the unprecedented decision to visit a modern beauty salon for the very first time in her life. She steps into an entirely unfamiliar world, expecting nothing more than a simple haircut to replace her old routine. However, the beautician assigned to take charge of her transformation turns out to be a flamboyant, highly feminine "onee" type. This unexpected encounter sets the stage for a dramatic shift in her everyday life, forcing a girl who never cared about appearances to confront an entirely new perspective on what it means to embrace her femininity.
