Years ago, a man named Izumo rescued a young boy called Ryuta from the clutches of a dangerous youkai. Before parting ways, Izumo made a heartfelt promise to return one day so they could set out on grand adventures together. However, as time passed, Izumo moved on with his life and completely forgot about the vow he had made to the child he saved. For Ryuta, that fleeting encounter defined his entire life. He never once forgot about his savior, dedicating years to rigorous training in preparation for the journey they were destined to share. By sheer coincidence, their paths finally cross again long after that initial rescue. Yet, when they reunite, Izumo claims to have absolutely no memory of the boy or the promise he made. Despite this disappointing revelation, Ryuta’s unwavering determination remains unshaken. Refusing to let Izumo’s amnesia stand in the way of his lifelong dream, Ryuta takes the initiative, dragging the reluctant hero along as they embark on the adventure he has spent years preparing for.
