Beauty Honey

For seventeen-year-old Niko, romance is a concept best left unexplored. Raised in a family where the women have historically endured terrible luck with men, she has grown up surrounded by heartbreak and disappointment. Having witnessed so many failed relationships firsthand, Niko has developed a deep-seated distrust of men. She firmly believes that love only leads to pain, leaving her with absolutely no desire to pursue a romantic connection of her own. However, her carefully guarded resolve begins to waver whenever she spends time with Kaoru, her personal beautician. Unlike the unreliable men who have shaped her cynical worldview, Kaoru offers a refreshing and entirely different experience. In his presence, the walls Niko has built around her heart seem less impenetrable, sparking an unfamiliar sense of comfort and intrigue. As she navigates these unexpected feelings, Niko must confront her long-held fears and decide whether she is finally ready to trust someone new, or if the shadows of her family's past will continue to dictate her future.
