The novel edition of "The Letter from the Afterlife" is a light novel written by Aya Yoshinari and published by Dengeki Bunko last October. Four volumes have been released so far (completed). The protagonist is a girl who wears a traditional Japanese postal uniform and holds an inexplicable cane, with a black bag full of letters with black stamps. These are not ordinary letters, but letters written by the deceased to important people - letters from the afterlife. The girl and her companion cane "Kanaka" travel back and forth between the afterlife and the world of the living, delivering letters that transcend life and death.
