Ambassador Atom

Set on a future Earth, "Ambassador Atom" is a science fiction manga exploring the fragile dynamics of coexistence and conflict between humanity and extraterrestrial refugees. The story marks the historic debut of the iconic character Atom. One day, a massive fleet of aliens arrives on Earth, having fled their home planet—a world known as "another Earth." This parallel planet was once identical to Earth's past, complete with nations like Japan and the United States inhabited by human-like beings. However, after a catastrophic explosion completely destroyed their world, its survivors spent thousands of years wandering through space aboard a colossal spaceship. Initially, Earth's inhabitants welcome the alien refugees with open arms. Yet this goodwill quickly deteriorates when a severe famine strikes the planet. Fear and desperation ignite violent hostility, leading to rampant alien hunting and pushing both species to the brink of an all-out war. Amidst this escalating crisis, Atom, a humanoid robot, steps forward as a mediator. Undertaking a perilous solo mission, he boards the alien spaceship to negotiate for peace. As tensions reach a breaking point, the fate of two civilizations rests entirely on whether Atom can successfully broker an accord before total destruction consumes them all.
