Harutora Tsuchimikado was born into a distinguished lineage of Onmyoji, yet he lacks the fundamental ability to perceive spirit energy. Devoid of this essential gift, he has resigned himself to an ordinary existence, spending his days in quiet contentment alongside his friends at a branch school dedicated to Onmyo studies. For Harutora, the supernatural world remains out of reach, and his life appears destined to unfold without incident or magical interference. This peaceful routine is abruptly shattered when Natsume Tsuchimikado, his childhood friend and the rightful heir to the family's main house, unexpectedly arrives. Her sudden appearance disrupts everything Harutora has come to accept about his unremarkable life. As the inheritor of the head family, Natsume carries the weight of their prestigious legacy, and her presence forces Harutora to confront the reality he has long avoided. With Natsume now standing before him, the dormant threads of Harutora's fate begin to unravel. The arrival of his childhood friend signals the end of his tranquil days, setting into motion a destiny that may finally pull him into the very world of spirit energy he was never meant to see.
