Tales of Phantasia: Katararezaru Rekishi

Based on the beloved action role-playing game Tales of Phantasia, this light novel explores the untold history preceding the events of Namco's classic adventure. The story follows Wynonna Pickford, a master archer who travels with a wandering magic troupe. While journeying through the Valhalla plains north of Midgards, she witnesses an inexplicable and blinding flash of light piercing the sky. Before she can react to the anomaly, a devastating shockwave engulfs her, violently tearing her from her surroundings and hurling her across space. When Wynonna regains her bearings, she finds herself standing before the looming gates of a strange, ancient castle far removed from the world she knew. It is within these foreboding walls that she crosses paths with a mysterious man named Daos. Their unexpected encounter sets into motion a chain of revelations that will forever alter the fate of their world. Serving as a vital prequel to the original game, this narrative unravels the hidden origins of its greatest antagonist, shedding light on the dark and tragic path that ultimately led Daos to ascend as the fearsome Demon King.
