IS: Infinite Stratos

Japan’s development of the "Infinite Stratos" (IS)—a highly advanced armed powered exoskeleton—revolutionized modern warfare, quickly establishing it as the world's dominant military technology. However, this breakthrough came with an unexpected biological limitation: only women possess the ability to pilot these formidable machines. As a direct result of this exclusive compatibility, society has undergone a dramatic shift in its power dynamics, leaving women to hold absolute authority over men in every aspect of daily life. Fifteen-year-old Ichika Orimura lives as an ordinary boy within this female-dominated world until a chance encounter alters his fate forever. While visiting an elite IS pilot training academy, he accidentally makes physical contact with one of the dormant units and inadvertently activates it. This unprecedented event reveals a shocking truth—Ichika is the first and only male on the planet capable of operating an Infinite Stratos. Thrust into the global spotlight by his unique anomaly, he is immediately compelled to enroll in the prestigious academy. Now, as the sole male student in an institution filled entirely with female pilots, Ichika must navigate the challenges of his extraordinary new reality and the demanding, bustling school life that surrounds him.
