Captivated, By You

Captivated, By You presents an omnibus of intimate stories exploring the complexities and emotional turbulence of youth. In one narrative, Joji Ema is a student navigating life at an all-boys school. Following the conclusion of the institution’s annual athletic festival, his eccentric classmate, Miyoshi Hayashi, begins behaving in a bizarre and unexpected manner toward him. This sudden shift in dynamic forces Ema to confront the confusing nature of their evolving relationship as he tries to understand the intentions behind Hayashi's strange actions. In a separate storyline set within a coeducational high school, Yuichi Medaka finds himself unexpectedly seated directly behind Akira Nikaido. Nikaido carries an unsettling aura that has made him widely disliked by most of the student body. As Medaka navigates the close proximity to such a polarizing figure, he must contend with the tension and uncertainty that come from being near someone so universally misunderstood. Together, these distinct vignettes weave a thoughtful exploration of what it truly means to be young, capturing the awkwardness, vulnerability, and profound connections that define adolescence.
