Anne Shirley

Set against the picturesque landscapes of Prince Edward Island, Canada, this series follows the life of Anne Shirley, a spirited orphan who arrives at Green Gables by mistake. The farmhouse belongs to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, who never intended to take in a young girl. However, rather than turning her away, the siblings make the unexpected decision to adopt her, giving Anne the family she has always longed for. In this welcoming new environment, she begins to discover genuine friendship, deep affection, and lasting happiness. At her core, Anne is a purehearted and deeply imaginative girl whose vivid perspective shapes everything around her. The narrative traces her remarkable journey from childhood into adulthood, capturing the challenges and triumphs of growing up on the island. As the years pass, she eventually leaves the familiar comforts of Green Gables behind to pursue higher education at college. Yet her story does not end with her departure. After completing her studies, Anne returns to the place that first gave her a home, no longer the wide-eyed child who arrived by accident, but a transformed woman ready to embrace the next chapter of her life.
