Boku no!

Concealed within the confines of a wooden crate, the protagonist remains hidden in silence, enveloped by darkness and isolation. The cramped space serves as both a refuge and a prison, separating them from the outside world they deeply desire to experience. For an indeterminate amount of time, they wait in the shadows, holding onto a quiet yearning for something greater beyond the rough walls that enclose them. Everything changes when a sudden beam of light pierces through a small hole in the crate's surface. Drawn by this unexpected illumination, the protagonist cautiously peers outward through the narrow opening. What greets their eyes is a breathtaking revelation—the very scenery they had been longing for finally unfolds before them, transforming their hidden confinement into a moment of profound discovery and visual wonder. Boku no! is a first-year student work produced in 2025 at the Tokyo University of the Arts, created within the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation.
