Ito wo Yoru

The three-part OVA *Ito wo Yoru* presents intimate, character-driven encounters set against shifting weather and secluded environments. In the first episode, "Katatsumuri," a track-and-field athlete waits alone at a desolate, rain-soaked bus stop until she is joined by a weather enthusiast. As they converse in the downpour, their unconventional desires gradually surface, leading them to mutually accept one another's inclinations beneath the clearing post-rain sky, leaving them both reflective yet mutually fulfilled. The narrative continues in the second episode, "Ame no Yo ni," where a disillusioned middle-aged man is approached on a stormy night by Aine, a hostess working at a girls' bar. Drawn into frequent visits, he encounters a drunken Aine a month later at a daytime standing bar and learns she is currently unemployed. After patiently listening to her grievances and offering support, the two eventually find themselves alone together in a park restroom. The final segment, "Natsu," unfolds beside a sunlit school pool during the summer months. While a young boy labors over cleaning the facility, his classmate and class president arrives to assist him. Just as their work nears completion, the girl accidentally slips and is completely drenched in the pool water. As he reaches out to help her to her feet, she confesses that there is something she wishes to try, setting the stage for a poignant chapter of youthful exploration.
