Twilight Out of Focus

Set within the creative atmosphere of an all-boys school film club, Twilight Out of Focus weaves together three distinct stories of budding romance. The first narrative centers on Mao and Hisashi, who are paired together to collaborate on a club project. As they work side by side, the two establish three specific promises between them, a shared agreement that gradually draws them into a much closer emotional connection. Meanwhile, tension simmers among the club’s leadership when Jin, the dedicated president, finds himself repeatedly clashing with Giichi, a fiercely jealous junior member. Their initial friction eventually gives way to mutual understanding as the two discover unexpected common ground. The final storyline follows Shion, a first-year student who joins the film club with the straightforward goal of finding a boyfriend. His arrival immediately sparks conflict with another member named Rei, leading to frequent arguments and friction. However, their contentious dynamic takes a surprising turn when Rei unexpectedly steps forward and asks Shion out on a date, shifting the foundation of their relationship entirely.
