Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram

The notorious phantom thief Kid has issued a bold challenge, announcing his intent to steal a prized Japanese sword belonging to the wealthy Onoe family in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Coincidentally present in the city, Conan and Heiji Hattori join forces to apprehend him, though they are puzzled by Kid’s unusual target, as the jewel-obsessed thief rarely pursues weaponry. The Onoe family’s collection is deeply tied to Toshizo Hijikata, a historical figure who met his end in Hakodate. The mystery intensifies when the family’s lawyer is discovered murdered in the warehouse district, apparently slain by a Japanese sword. Suspicion falls on a shadowy investor and arms dealer believed to be hunting for the Onoe family’s legendary hidden treasure. Rumors suggest that the patriarch’s grandfather, heavily involved in wartime military industry, concealed a devastating weapon somewhere in Hakodate capable of altering the course of war. As Conan investigates whether Kid’s true objective is this lost armament, Heiji faces a personal mission of his own, searching the city for the perfect scenic spot to finally confess his feelings to Kazuha. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of northern cherry blossoms, an exhilarating hunt for treasure and truth unfolds.
