An Unsettling Scent

Hayden has always been careful to conceal his true nature, going to great lengths to hide the fact that he is an alpha. Maintaining this secret is essential to his daily life, but his carefully guarded routine is disrupted when a classmate named Brett approaches him for assistance with a school project. What begins as a simple academic collaboration quickly becomes complicated when Hayden discovers a startling truth: Brett is not only a fellow alpha, but one who deliberately chooses not to use scent blockers. This revelation immediately shifts the dynamic between them. Without the masking effects of suppressants, their shared alpha instincts cause friction, and the two naturally begin to clash. Their initial disagreements soon escalate into a tense pattern of unsettling encounters, each interaction more volatile than the last. The atmosphere between them grows increasingly charged and unpredictable as they struggle to coexist while working together. As these confrontations continue to intensify, the fragile balance between them begins to fracture entirely. The ongoing tension pushes both young men toward a breaking point, culminating in a moment where Brett crosses a definitive line. By taking things one step too far, he transforms their already fraught relationship into something far more dangerous and irreversible.
