OVERTAKE!

Sixteen-year-old Haruka Asahina is a high school student with an extraordinary passion for motorsport, competing in Formula 4 racing while based out of Komaki Motors, a small auto-body shop located in Shizuoka Prefecture. Unlike the well-funded organizations that dominate the circuit, Komaki Motors operates as a modest, family-run business. The team consists of the shop’s owner and lead mechanic, Futoshi Komaki, his son Kotarou Komaki, and their newest driver, Haruka. Because they function independently, the crew receives no financial or technical backing from major automotive manufacturers, forcing them to rely entirely on their own skill, dedication, and limited resources to remain competitive. Despite these significant disadvantages, Haruka refuses to let his circumstances define his ambitions. He boldly takes to the track to challenge the elite teams head-on, driven by a singular goal: to prove his talent and capture the attention of the revered corporations that control the upper echelons of the sport. By pushing himself against far superior machinery, he hopes to earn the recognition necessary to secure a place on the podium and elevate both his career and the small Shizuoka team that believed in him.
