Insomniacs After School

High school student Ganta Nakami struggles daily with the exhausting effects of insomnia, a condition that quietly drains his energy and disrupts his routine. Unable to find relief through conventional means, he navigates his school life while concealing his chronic sleeplessness from those around him. His solitary struggle takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Isaki Magari, a fellow student who silently battles the exact same affliction. Bound by their shared inability to rest, the two teenagers form an unusual yet deeply meaningful connection. They discover an abandoned observatory on their school grounds, transforming the forgotten space into a private sanctuary hidden away from the watchful eyes of classmates and teachers. Within these quiet walls, they share their closely guarded secret and finally find the peaceful environment necessary to catch up on the sleep they desperately need. What begins as a practical arrangement gradually evolves into something far more profound. As Ganta and Isaki spend their hidden hours together in the dusty observatory, their mutual vulnerability fosters a unique bond. Through this secret refuge, both students discover not only the restorative rest they have been missing but also an extraordinary companionship built on trust, understanding, and shared solace.
